Risk

To laugh, is to risk playing the fool
To weep, is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out to one another,  is to risk involvement
To expose feelings, is to risk exposing our true selves

To put your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd, is to risk loss
To love, is to risk not being loved in return
To live, is to risk dying
To hope, is to risk despair
To try all, is to risk failure

But risk must be taken
Because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing, has nothing, is nothing
They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they simply cannot learn, change, feel, grow, love, live,.. changed by their attitudes they are slaves

Close your eyes, follow your heart, take a chance, for a new start
Let down your guard , knockdown the walls, take a chance, that you won't fall
Learn to live, by leaps and bounds, take a chance you'll leave the ground
Find the strength, to stay alive, take a chance, that you'll survive
Spread your wings, look to the sky, take a chance that you will fly.
